Developer reference
Prerequisites and installation
Install the exact toolchain and separate locked dependencies for Helm and its documentation.
Use Node 22.23.3, pnpm 11.2.2 and Git. A configured Supabase development project is needed for the financial app; the documentation package can run independently.
Install the application
From the repository root, install the versions already locked by the project:
node --version
pnpm --version
pnpm install --frozen-lockfileA successful frozen install resolves the existing lockfile without choosing new dependency versions. If it reports a manifest mismatch, inspect the source and lockfile rather than silently removing the frozen flag.
Install the docs separately
From the same repository root:
pnpm install --dir documentation --frozen-lockfileDocumentation has a nested workspace and its own lockfile and overrides. Keep it independent of the app’s Next.js version. Do not copy one package’s node_modules or lockfile over the other.
Configure before signing in
Add the appropriate environment configuration to ignored local files. Use a development database and provider configuration you are authorized to access. Do not use another person’s financial records as test data.
Installation does not establish that migrations, signup mode, callback URLs or recovery email are configured. Confirm those separately before testing account access.
Continue with local development.
