Check an account and its history
Compare a dated starting balance, movements and evidence before changing an account balance.
Open an account from My Situation or your account list. Its history helps explain how the displayed amount follows from a starting basis and subsequent movements.
Review the balance basis
- Confirm the account name, type and currency.
- Find the date and amount of the balance you stated or the supporting bank evidence.
- Review movements after that starting point.
- Compare with a bank statement for the same account and date range.
Do not compare today’s figure with an older statement total without accounting for the intervening activity.
Work through a difference
Here is a fictional example. You state EGP 2,400 as of 4 October 2026. A later EGP 150 purchase and EGP 300 transfer out imply EGP 1,950 after those movements. If your statement shows EGP 1,925 for the same cutoff, inspect the EGP 25 difference rather than replacing the balance blindly. A missing fee, a different date, or a duplicated movement can each explain a gap.
A balance you state and a statement-supported balance are different evidence. Read the displayed basis before calling the account reconciled.
Update or correct the right fact
- A missing real movement belongs in Activity.
- An incorrect recorded amount needs a dated correction and reason.
- A new dated balance observation should say what date it represents.
- A changed account name is organizational only.
Transfers should appear against both accounts. A currency exchange needs both actual amounts. Looking at one side alone can hide why the account moved.
If the account history will not load
Retry once the connection is available. An empty or unavailable response is not evidence that all history disappeared. If you changed accounts or signed in as another user, wait for the fresh account view before making a financial change.
