Product updates
A public overview of Helm’s current question-oriented financial product and guidance.
October 2026
Helm organizes personal finance around questions: where you stand, what is coming, who is involved and what happened. The financial foundation combines balanced movements and semantic context.
A clear starting point
Start with one account and a dated balance you state. The first-use guide helps with preferences and account setup, then offers recording and orientation as optional next steps. Existing users can replay orientation without repeating setup.
A stated balance gives a useful starting basis without claiming bank verification. Currency and completeness notes stay part of the answer.
Everyday money and plans
Record purchases, receipts, transfers, card repayments and actual exchanges. Manage accounts and cards, income sources, recurring plans, loans and shared context. Plans remain separate from completed money.
Reviewed imports and recovery
Supported sources can be previewed before explicit recording consent. Durable jobs support continuation, cancellation and eligible undo. Changed or linked money can be refused by undo to preserve later history.
Access and guides
The public product offers email/password account creation for reviewers. Session controls and scoped API tokens support private access. The help center now puts practical product guides before developer references.
See the roadmap for upcoming social login, broader Activity tools and other direction. These notes describe the product; they do not promise every future feature. Start with your first useful answer.
