Find your way around Helm

Helm’s guide helps you get a first useful answer, then find the everyday views. It works with real controls; it does not create example money for you.

Start with setup or explore first

On a new account, the welcome heading is A clear answer starts with your money. Choose Set up my first account or Explore Helm first.

In Make it yours, enter an optional Your name and choose Your main currency. Use Save and continue, or Keep current preferences. This changes reading preferences, not an account’s actual currency.

In Where your money lives, choose Add my account. In the real account dialog, review Name, Type, Currency, Opening balance and As of, then use Add account.

For a fictional example, state EGP 2,400 as of 4 October 2026 for Everyday account. Your first answer uses that user-stated basis; it is not bank verified.

Recover a partial account setup

If account creation succeeds but its balance does not, use Retry balance confirmation. This retries the balance for the same account instead of creating another.

After a refresh, recovery may offer State its balance in Settings and Check my account again. Establish the actual balance basis before calling financial setup complete. Unknown is not zero.

Record only if you want to

The optional recording step points to Record what happened. The real dialog asks What happened?, and its save control is Record. Choose an actual movement rather than inventing one to finish a tour.

Completion follows a saved result and refreshed owned read. Clicking Record is not itself proof that money saved. See recording recovery.

Explore the views

The orientation follows Activity → Coming → People → Insights. Use the actual navigation when a step points to it. Informational steps can offer Continue; action steps wait for their real action.

You can Skip or End the guide, or use Escape. Leaving the guide does not discard an existing financial draft or undo recorded money.

Replay later

Open Settings → Get your bearings → Take the guided tour. Resume my guide appears when an unfinished guide can be continued. Bring in my history opens import review.

Replay is orientation: it does not automatically add another account or record money. If the connection or session is unavailable, restore your owned session before continuing private guidance.
