Using HelmBills and upcoming dates

Product guide

Read bills and upcoming dates

Use Coming to understand expected commitments and distinguish due dates from completed payments.

Coming helps you look ahead at bills, recurring commitments and dates that matter. An expected payment has not happened merely because it appears here.

Review what is coming

  1. Open Coming.
  2. Read the bill or obligation name, due date, amount and currency.
  3. Check whether the amount is known, expected or still missing.
  4. Review the associated account, person or plan where available.

Use this view to decide what needs attention. Different currencies still need context: an EGP bill and a USD subscription are not one directly additive amount.

Add a commitment

Manage obligations or recurring plans in Settings. Give the commitment a meaningful name and the date you actually expect. A fictional example is Internet bill, EGP 350, due 10 October 2026. Saving that expectation should put the commitment in the upcoming picture; it should not reduce your bank balance.

If the amount is not known, keep that uncertainty visible rather than entering a made-up zero.

When you pay

Record the actual payment in Activity, using the account and settled amount. Attach relevant context when available. A reminder dismissal or plan update is not a money movement.

Before recording a payment manually, check whether your bank import already recorded it. The bill and its payment can both exist, but the payment should appear only once.

When the upcoming picture looks wrong

Review the plan’s recurrence, status, next date and currency in Settings. If the commitment ended, update its plan rather than deleting the historical payment. If the actual amount differs, keep the expectation and actual evidence clear. See reminders for notification behavior.
